DO diabetic need social support? I feel so why you know, this disease is one only going to affect the individual on the surface but it has an significant effect on the society in deeper aspects.
Every one is shouting, crying to stop HIV and other disease why you know it can spread from one to other which diabetes doesn't do so every one is not ready to take it as a threat to them. Every one thinks its a personal problem, even though it has an social aspect to it and all diabetic need to be on treatment in one or the other forms.
Why I am talking about social support to diabetic, how it matters the patient?
It can make a difference on the amount of money spend by individual for treatment, it can minimize the agony the preson under goes on diagnosis, helps in preventive initiatives for better living with diabetes, so many aspects which cannot be told in a go.
So in my opinion diabetes needs to be addressed in a much socialogicaly than purely on medical grounds. This will help us in reducing future burden of diabetes on human mankind.
